SAFESTRIKE is blend of natural vegetable oils and naturally occurring polymeric extracts for general site and precast yard use. It achieves a top quality concrete finish in most situations and with most common mould surfaces. Release is achieved by the formation of a physical barrier between the formwork surface and the concrete. Surfactants present in Safestrike help to eliminate blowholes and provide a clean uniform and non-stained surface.

After preparation of formwork and any necessary sealing, apply thinly, by spray, brush or swab prior to each concrete pour, and as near to time of placement of concrete as practical conditions permit. Timber and other porous forms which have not been treated with ADOSEAL Plastic Formwork Coating or other suitable sealer should initially be treated with a double coat of SAFESTRIKE, the first applied heavily and allowed to stand for maximum absorption before the second is applied in normal manner. On vertical forms any excess material accumulating at the bottom of the form should be removed.

A thin coating gives a coverage between 30 to 40m2 per litre depending upon surface porosity. Excessive application of release agents con be detrimental to the concrete surface finish; therefore care should therefore be taken to ensure that SAFESTRIKE is applied as recommended, as this will achieve optimum performance and maximum economy.

SAFESTRIKE should be protected from frost. Containers must be kept sealed after use. The product may require agitation before use if stored for more 21 days.

12 months in sealed containers, use within 2 months of opening. Roll or agitate prior to use.

Prolonged physical contact should be avoided and personal and environmental hygiene encouraged in common with the use of all mould release agents. Where contact with skin occurs, the material should be removed with soap and water. If splashes affect eyes, they should be bathed immediately with copious quantities of clean water and if discomfort persists medical attention should be sought without delay.
