Epomast Fastpatch
Epoxy Resin for Rapid Repairs to Concrete and Masonry Surfaces
Epomast Fastpatch is a high strength, trowel applied, two component Epoxy resin for rapid and permanent repairs to concrete and masonry surfaces. Epomast Fastpatch is a blend of Epoxy resin and graded aggregate.
The mixed material is applied to a suitably prepared surface, and quickly cures to form a durable, high strength, abrasion and chemical and weather resistant compound, with negligible shrinkage, Fastpatch is targeted for repairs to spalled or damaged concrete, chemical bunds, bedding pre-cast concrete beams, nosings on expansion joints and for floor repairs.
It is supplied as easy to use pre-weighed components and a small range of colours are available too for more accurate appearance matching.

upon request)
Density: 2000kg/m3
Pot Life: 40 minutes @ 20°C
Adhesion to concrete: 3.9MPa (concrete failure)
Compressive Strength: 76MPa
Taber abrasion resistance: 40mg weight loss (CS17 wheels; 1kg loads, 1000 cycles)
Maximum Service Temperature: 70°C continuous
Surface Preparation
Remove all laitance, spalled concrete, grease, oil, dust, and other contaminants by scabbling or bush hammering, to provide a sound, clean, substrate. Any exposed reinforcing steel shall be fully exposed by cutting out around its full circumference, and cleaned by abrading or grit blasting to remove rust, scale, etc.
Priming
Primer not normally required. For exceptionally porous surfaces, please contact our Technical Department for specific advice.
Mixing
Epomast Fastpatch is supplied as a two component pack. Each component is pre-weighed and ready to mix. The contents of the CURING AGENT should be added into that containing the BASE and the two components thoroughly mixed, by spatula or low speed drill/ stirrer, or forced action mixer.
Application
Apply the Epomast Fastpatch by tamping and trowelling to ensure good compaction and a tight finish. The material should not be feather edged. Maximum thickness in horizontal applications is 50mm. For vertical applications the material may be built up in layers not exceeding 6mm. (See also Epomast Mortar data sheet)
Equipment Cleaning
Clean equipment with Resoklens prior to curing of the mortar.
Curing and Over-coating
Epomast Fastpatch will have hardened sufficiently after 5-6 hours cure @ 15-20°C to allow full trafficking. Longer periods of cure will be necessary at lower temperatures. Full mechanical and chemical resistant properties will be achieved after 3 days cure @ 20°C. It is preferable to apply a sealer coat if exposure to chemicals is likely.
Please consult our Technical Department for specific recommendations.
A 5kg pack of Epomast Fastpatch yields 2.5 litres of material sufficient for 0.5m2 @ 5mm thickness. (10kg pack pro-rata).
Limitations
Do not apply to wet or uncured concrete surfaces. Do not apply at temperatures of 3°C or less.
Epomast Fastpatch is supplied in 5kg and 10kg packs.
Store in dry conditions at temperatures between 10°C and 25°C. Avoid low temperature storage prior to use of the material. Do not expose to
