ADOSTRIP is a formwork and mould release agent designed for general site use to achieve easy concrete release. ADOSTRIP forms a physical barrier between the formwork surface and the concrete. ADOSTRIP offers quick and easy release of the concrete from the formwork and minimises the formation of blowholes and provides a clean, uniform, non-stained surface.
- Double action provides physical barrier and chemical release
- Facilitates maximum re-usage of all types of
- Provides uniform stain-free concrete
- Minimises incidence of surface air
- Will not impair the bond of any subsequent treatments to concrete.
- Concrete deposits on forms virtually
- Dries rapidly on forms to provide cleaner and safer working
- Will not be removed by rain showers or light foot
- Inhibits rust formation on steel
- Light spray mist coat application provides extremely economic
- Suitable for use on all types of formwork in all climatic
- Minimises discoloration of concrete surface
Apply by spray, brush or swab prior to each concrete pour, and as near to time of placement of concrete as practical conditions permit. Timber and other porous forms which have not been treated with ADOSEAL or other suitable seaters should initially be treated with a double coat of ADOSTRIP; the first applied heavily and allowed to stand for maximum absorption before the second is applied in normal manner.
Long-time application and standing on vertical formwork may result in excess material sagging and collecting at the base of the formwork; this should be wiped away with a clean rag, as this can lead to de-moulding and appearance issues. Lightly re-apply to the upper section of the formwork if the coverage looks too thin.
A thin coating spray applied to give a coverage area of between 30 to 40m2 per litre (depending upon surface porosity) is recommended. Excessive application of ADOSTRIP may be detrimental to the concrete surface finish; core should therefore be taken to ensure thot ADOSTRIP is applied as recommended to achieve optimum performance and maximum economy.
ADOSTRIP is based in a flammable solvent. Storage should be in a cool, well-ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed. Keep away from sources of ignition. Avoid any build-up of electrostatic charge in the immediate area. Ensure that lighting and electrical equipment nearby are not a source of ignition.
Practically unlimited in sealed containers.
