Environmentally Safe Plant and Equipment Protective Compound

Deactivator is a chemical release agent based on a blend of fatty acids dispersed in a vegetable oil base and is used to prevent concrete build up on plant and machinery via the formation of calcium soaps which act as a barrier protective layer when in contact with cementitious material avoiding the need to use corrosive acid based cleaners. Deactivator is safe for the environment and is fully biodegradable.

Advantages

• Chemical reaction with all cementitious based products.

• Greatly reduces cleaning and maintenance costs. Avoids the need to use acid based cleaning agents

• Suitable for use on all surfaces

• Lubricates and cleans without the risk of using acid based products

• Has excellent rust prevention characteristics

• Low odour

Application

For maintaining and protecting equipment first ensure that the surface to be treated is dry and clean: then apply Deactivator as supplied using a standard hand sprayer or roller. Leave to dry
Deactivator contains biodegradable surfactants that aid the cleaning process after use. The recommended process is to jet wash away the dried on cementitious material the surfactants present act like a detergent and will aid the cleaning process, Once the equipment is cleaned and dried then re-apply a protective deactivator coating and allow to dry.

Coverage

A coverage rate upwards of 30m2 per litre used as supplied, can be achieved however this is dependant on the surface porosity and the material it is being used on.

Storage

DEACTIVATOR is a safe vegetable based product and although no specific storage requirements are required, the product should be protected from frost, and containers must be kept sealed after use. The product may require mild agitation before use if stored for more than 6 months.
