Adocoat Aluminium Roof Paint. A solvent based bituminous aluminium paint providing a bright solar reflective coating suitable for application to bituminous roofing substrates.
For the protection against sun and weather of roofs and walls, particularly where bituminous, exposed steel and corrugated iron surfaces are encountered.

Method of Application
By brush or spray. If brushed, do not apply too thickly as this could cause staining, also do not brush excessively as this could cause softening of the substrate.
Instructions
Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust and debris. Existing bitumen coating should be allowed to weather for at least 10 days and preferably a few weeks before the application of Adocoat Aluminium Bitumen Paint. Stir thoroughly before use. Note:- The appearance of a silver film on the surface of the paint after a brief period of stirring does not signify that the paint is thoroughly uniform. It is advisable to stir for several minutes to ensure complete dispersion.
It is recommended that two coats of Adocoat Aluminium Bitumen Paint are applied to the surface, the first being allowed to dry completely before application of the second. The presence of moisture on the surface or rainfall before the Adocoat Aluminium Bitumen Paint has dried can also cause staining.

Tools may be cleaned with white spirit or Resoklens. Minor spillages should be wiped off surfaces before the paint has dried. Major spillages should be mopped up immediately with an inert, absorbent material, such as sand, and disposed of in accordance with regulations

Approximately 10m2 per litre

Adomast Felt Adhesive is available in 5 and 25 litre containers. After use replace lid firmly and shake to ensure an airtight seal

12 months minimum under good conditions. Store in cool, dry conditions away from sources of ignition, in tightly closed containers. Material which has been stored for several months will require extremely good stirring before use as a degree of separation may have taken place.
Part containers should not be allowed to be contaminated by water.

Adocoat Aluminium Bitumen Paint is solvent based is therefore flammable . The solvent may have a narcotic effect if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. In extreme cases contact with the skin may cause dermatitis. In case of fire use dry powder, carbon dioxide (CO2), foam, sand or earth. Never use water as this may spread the fire. Therefore the following precautions are advised:
1. Wear protective clothing
2. Avoid smoking, hot lights, naked flames or creating sparks
3. Never ingest, wash hands thoroughly before eating or drinking
4. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and non protective clothing. Remove skin contamination immediately with a proprietary hand cleaner and wash with soap and water.
5. When working with the product, until it has dried, ensure that the area is well ventilated thereby avoiding build up of solvent vapour.
6. Do not apply to rooflights, windows, glass or translucent sheets as they will constitute a hidden hazard.
