Adocoat Industrial Bitumen Cutback is a medium viscosity bitumen reduced with a C9-C12
petroleum derived hydrocarbon. It is black in appearance, compatible with a number of
substrates and can be specified as a highways/civil engineering grade cutback
Uses
– Barrier against water and water vapour for brickwork, blockwork and stonework
– Protection of iron and steel against corrosion
– Protection of subterranean concrete structures against ground water ingress
– Sealing and protection of exposed concrete structures and surfaces
– Viscosity modifier to other cutbacks or bitumens
– Use as a BST (Bituminous Surface Treatment) for asphalt roads and pavements. Acts as a
protective layer to the underlying surface, increases skid resistance, fills cracks and reduces
ravelling. Used and specified on several UK motorway builds
