ADOPRUFE is a concentrated liquid solution of waterproofing chemicals.
When added to a concrete mix it firstly reacts physically to improve wetting properties and ensure uniform dispersion and full hydration of all cement particles.
Secondly it reacts chemically to deposit throughout the mix in all pores and capillaries an insoluble water repellent metallic stearate. The resulting concrete is not only more dense and stronger but is also water proof to withstand extremely high water pressures

The standard usage rate is 500ml ADOPRUFE to 50 kilos of Portland Cement added to the gauging water or the pre-wetted mix.
As a guide for estimating purposes the quantities of ADOPRUFE required to waterproof 1 cubic metre of concrete are as follows:

1:2:4        Mix-3 litres ADOPRUFE

1:1.5: 3    Mix-4 litres ADOPRUFE

1 litre ADOPRUFE will waterproof approximately 16 sq. metres of 12mm thick rendering composed of 1 part cement to 3 parts sand.
Concrete designed to withstand hydrostatic pressure should never contain less than 300 kilos of cement per cubic metre.

ADOPRUFE should be protected from frost. Containers must be kept sealed after use. The product may require mild agitation before use if stored for more than 6 months.

If stored in accordance as per the instructions above, shelf life is in excess of 12 months.

Prolonged physical contact should be avoided and personal and environmental hygiene encouraged in common with the use of all chemicals Where contact with skin occurs, the material should be removed with soap and water. If splashes affect eyes, they should be bathed immediately
with copious quantities of clean water and if discomfort persists, medical attention should be sought without delay.
